Description

Bard and Dancer Spirits is a 2nd class supportive skill available as Bard, Clown, Dancer, and Gypsy. It is learned automatically upon job changing into a Bard/Dancer class. It imbues the player with the Spirit of the Performer, giving them special powerful buffs that last until the Spirit buff runs out:

• All Performance Skills affect the Performer themselves at half effectiveness.
• If 3 or more party members (excluding yourself) are affected by your song, effectiveness is increased to 100%.
• Their skills become linked, meaning that if the Performer has level 10 of the given skill, they can use the same level of the linked counterpart of the opposite gender as well (for example, if you have Song of Lutie level 10, you will be able to use Gypsy's Kiss level 10). They are not affected by Music Lessons and Dance Lessons, respectively.

Notes

• The changes to this skill come with the rework of Soul Linker classes in Patch A.4.8. The reason not all effects of this skill has been directly integrated into the classes themselves is to keep class identity and separation between Bard and Dancer classes, and also that songs affecting self all the time, could potentially be too strong. The increased movement speed has, however, been integrated directly into the class. And so, it remains as a Spirit skill, but only usable by the class itself, instead of by a Soul Linker, which eliminates the need for a dual client.
