The Fever MVP event is a new way for MVPs to spawn on certain maps, instead of the regular spawn timer that other MVPs have. For the Fever MVP to spawn, a certain number of monster kills is required on the map, afterwards which it will spawn. For a player to receive rewards from the MVP, they must meet a certain number of required kills before the MVP spawns, interact with it while it's alive, and be on the map when it's killed. After the MVP has been killed, the kill counter for the map is on cooldown for a set amount of time. During this cooldown, individual player kills are counted, however the global kill counter for the map is not, thus it cannot spawn during this cooldown.
A player's personal kill counter is not removed upon relogging or leaving the map. It is only reset when the MVP that counter was going for was spawned and killed.
At the entrance of every map, which contains a Fever MVP, a stats board can be found, where you can see the progress on the kill count to spawn the MVP and your individual kill count.
As this can sound quite confusing, here is an example for Silent Maya in Anthell Depths:
- Each time a player on the map kills any monster, their personal kill counter and the map's kill counter increases by 1.
- Silent Maya will spawn after the requirement of 25,000 kills on the map is met.
- To receive rewards from Silent Maya, each player must've killed at least 500 monsters before she spawns.
- Additionally to the required 500 kills, the player must also interact with the MVP and be on the map while the MVP dies to receive rewards.
- Once she spawns, any player's personal kill counter no longer increases when killing monsters on the map, even if they have not met the required amount of kills for the rewards.
- When Silent Maya is killed, it goes on cooldown for 2 hours and both the map's kill counter and every player's kill counter is reset.
- During this 2 hour cooldown, the map's kill counter does not increase when a monster is killed. However, a player's personal kill counter for the rewards requirement does.
- Once the 2 hour cooldown is over, the map's kill counter once again is increased by killing monsters on the map, and Silent Maya can be spawned again.
